This Accessibility Declaration (status: 24 August 2020) applies to the version of this website currently available on the internet (www.bfr.bund.de) and relates to the test result of the BIK according to the BITV test procedure of 10 March 2014. In this test, the website achieved 90.25 out of a maximum of 100 points and was thus rated as easily accessible.

Status of compatibility with requirements

Due to the following exceptions, this website is only partially compatible with the BGG and the BITV:

PDF downloads that were posted before September 2018 do not fall within the scope of the applicable legal provisions and are not accessible. The BfR creates PDF files posted later in a barrier-free version or endeavours to replace them with one as soon as possible.

Video and audio files that are posted before September 2020 do not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation. In general, they were published without subtitles, text alternatives, or audio descriptions.

Arbitration

The Federal Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Persons with Disabilities oversees an Arbitration Service in accordance with Section 16 BGG. The Arbitration Service has the task of resolving conflicts between people with disabilities and public authorities of the federal government.

You can turn to the Arbitration Service if you are not satisfied with the answers from the contact options mentioned above. The role of the board is not to create winners and losers. Rather, the aim is to find a joint solution to a problem and out of court with the help of the Arbitration Service.
